I am an International Expert in Education, Training for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Skills for Deep Tech and Industry X.0.
I have been the Director of Education at EIT Manufacturing Asbl (France), leading all the programs aiming at empowering Europe with people who are capable and inspired to shape the future of the industry by acquiring innovation and entrepreneurial competencies, together with technical skills. This role covered the EIT Labelled Master and Doctoral Programs, and non-degree professional Education, public engagement activities addressing pupils, women, and society at large. I have contributed to setting up the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative to train one million people in Deep Tech until 2025. I have been on the Steering Committee of the Higher Education Capacity Building initiative to support more than 350 higher education institutions and other non-academic partners to unleash the potential of the innovation ecosystems.
I was previously a Research Coordinator at the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy), investigating the digital and technological transformation brought by Industry 4.0 and its impact on Manufacturing. In particular, her interest covers human resources, their roles, and their skills. She has researched the integration and the role of employees within Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), Human-Centric and Socially Sustainable Manufacturing, and Key Enabling Technologies. I have published several papers on this theme. Previously I worked as Operations Manager in an industrial company and as a consultant in a Management Consulting firm.
I have a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Management Engineering. I am a Member of the Harnessing Talent Platform, launched by the European Commission in 2023, in which I lead the sub-working group “Place-based innovation strategies and skills development”.
